Beschrijving van het paard
Bred by: Antonio Alba Romeu (Yeguada Alba) Yeguada Alba has been breeding Spanish Purebred horses for over 35 years. They were one of the oldest breeders in Catalonia (Spain). They bred with ‘Yeguada Militar’-lines and a high percentage of Carthusian blood all colours including Palomino and bay PRE Horses. It was the inspiration for Hempfling’s second book ‘Dancing with Horses’ (‘Natuurlijk paardrijden’). He went here in search for whisdom about the horse. He had the opportunity to work with their stallions and with this he wrote his book.
Gayo’s sire Bizarro and the rest of the sire’s side is from the famous Yeguada Paco Marti. This breeding farm is located in eastern Spain, near Castellón de la Plana. This breeding farm has been and is still the world’s first studfarm that is devoted to the breeding and search of the Pura Raza Española horses in the ‘capa’ bayo (buckskin) (like the sire & grand sire of Gayo) and other golden PRE’s. All the stud horses are descendants of the buckskin PREs where the breeding farm ones started with. These blood lines are used in other ranches, all over the world. Not only the color is an important factor in breeding, but also the morphology and the functionality of the products are important.
